Cloud Computing Write for Us: Cloud computing is a general term for providing on-demand computing and IT services hosted over the Internet on a pay-as-you-go basis. Users can obtain technology services such as computing power, storage, and databases from a cloud provider. This eliminates the need to buying, operate, and maintain on-premises physical data centres and servers.
What are the different types of cloud computing facilities?
Cloud services can be divided into the following general categories of provision:
Infrastructure as a service (IaaS)
IaaS earners, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), provide a virtual server example and storage, as well as submission programming interfaces (APIs) that allow users to wander workloads to a virtual machine (VM). Users are allocated storage volume and can start, stop, admission, and configure VMs and storage to meet their needs. IaaS providers offer small, medium, large, and ultra-large instances optimised for memory or compute resources and the ability to configure instances for different workloads. The IaaS cloud model is the closest thing to a remote data centre for enterprise users.
Platform as a service (PaaS)
In the PaaS model, cloud service providers host development tools on their infrastructure. Users access these tools online through APIs, web portals, or gateway software. PaaS is used for general-purpose software development, and many providers host the software after it is developed. Examples of PaaS products include Salesforce Lightning, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, and Google App Engine.
Software as a service (SaaS)
The SaaS distribution model involves delivering software applications over the Internet; these applications are often referred to as web services. Users can access SaaS applications and services from anywhere worldwide using a computer or mobile device connected to the Internet. In the SaaS model, users access application software and databases. An example of a SaaS application is Microsoft 365 for productivity and email.
